ARTICLES

We are looking for articles written for the fans by the fans to publish here on Blue Trident! An article in this sense is defined as a short written composition in a newspaper, magazine, etc.. The subject matter can be anything you want as long as it relates to Percy Jackson and the Olympians or The Heroes of Olympus in some way. Articles relating to the books, the characters, the movie, author Rick Riordan, the summer camps (a diary perhaps?), the fandom/fanfiction, Greek/Roman/Egyptian mythology, The 39 Clues, The Kane Chronicles, or indeed in-depth reviews of the books or the movie will all be considered.

Interested? E-mail your finished article (with "Article Submission" in the subject line) as a word document (DOC format) to Christine (see Contact Us for contact information). If you're having trouble saving or if you don't know what DOC format is, e-mail Christine and she'll be happy to help out.

Just a few things to bear in mind if you're sending in an article:

  • the article you submit must be all your own work;

  • you will not be paid for your article this is for fun, not profit!;

  • you can format your article in any way you want; feel free to use images to illustrate what you are saying;

  • articles will be converted to PDF format to make it easier for people to view your article online (to view PDFs you will need a PDF reader installed on your PC, such as Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader);

  • you will be credited as the author so please include either your first name (no second names please for online safety), your desired nickname or a pen name you wished to be credited by when you send your article;

  • your e-mail address will not be displayed along with your article in the interests of online safety;

  • the webmistress reserves the right to edit articles that have been approved (this will mainly be checking for and amending spelling and grammar errors).
